Built by friends who studied together
ScienceIQ started with a group of friends who were tired of studying the hard way — and convinced there had to be a better one.
The problem
Same struggle, five different degrees
We met at university, scattered across very different fields. Different lectures, different exams — but the same complaint: the way we were taught to study hadn't really changed in decades, and it showed at exam time.
The turning point
AI got good — but not for students
Then AI got genuinely good, and it became obvious that education was about to change. What wasn't obvious was who would do it well. The big, general-purpose tools can answer almost anything — but they don't understand how a student actually learns, and they leave you to work out the how on your own.
So we built the tool we wished we'd had.
What we built
A study partner, not a search box
ScienceIQ isn't a generic chatbot. It takes your own notes, slides, and documents and turns them into summaries, quizzes, flashcards, and a study plan — then guides you through them, step by step. Less staring at a blank page, more real progress.
That's still what drives us: taking what the research says works and putting it in every student's hands — whatever they happen to be studying.
